AEC Community Raises $6,500 for Global Safe Water Solutions at Annual Cornhole Tournament

Hosted by Lowcountry Paver, the event funded safe water access for 130 people through Water Mission, spotlighting industry collaboration for a global cause.

North Charleston, SC – October 16, 2025Lowcountry Paver, a leading provider of hardscaping and paver solutions in the Lowcountry region, announced today the significant success of its annual AEC Cornhole Tournament, which successfully raised $6,500 for the non-profit organization Water Mission. The event, held last week at Holy City Brewing in North Charleston, SC, brought together several firms from the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) community for an afternoon of competitive fun and substantial philanthropic impact.

The tournament featured a high-energy, bracket-style competition, fostering networking and camaraderie among participating industry professionals. After several highly contested rounds, the team from SeamonWhiteside emerged victorious, proudly taking home the coveted championship belt and bragging rights for the year.

The success of the fundraiser directly supports Water Mission’s ongoing efforts to combat the global water crisis. Water Mission is a non-profit Christian engineering organization that designs, builds, and implements safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) solutions in developing nations and disaster areas. The $6,500 raised at the tournament is enough to provide 130 people with access to safe and living water, fundamentally changing the trajectory of their health, education, and economic futures.

“We are truly inspired by the generosity and community spirit of the Charleston AEC community,” said Steven Vega, President of Lowcountry Paver.

“This event is about more than just tossing bags; it’s about mobilizing our community to make a tangible difference in the world. Knowing that an afternoon of fun translated into safe water for 130 people is incredibly rewarding and underscores the commitment of our industry to a greater cause.”

Lowcountry Paver extends its deep gratitude to all participating firms for their contributions and competitive spirit. The company is excited to pass the hosting baton to this year’s champion, SeamonWhiteside, who will host the tournament next year, ensuring the tradition continues.
