Peace Of Mind
Your project is backed by the quality, support, and service of the Lowcountry’s most trusted paver manufacturer.
Know what to ask your installer.
Ask before you sign anything. Certification means the crew has been trained on our exact base prep, compaction, and installation specs — the details that decide whether a driveway lasts 25+ years or starts heaving in five. Request a free estimate through one of our certified contractor partners across the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida, and skip the guesswork.
A driveway needs a minimum of 4–6 inches of compacted aggregate base, built up in compacted lifts — not simply dumped and leveled. An installer who can’t answer this clearly on-site is one to walk away from; it’s the single biggest factor in whether pavers stay flat or settle. Our certified partners follow manufacturer-specified base depths on every job.
Get it in writing, broken out by material, labor, base preparation, and any drainage or demolition work, before a shovel touches the ground. A verbal ballpark with no breakdown is where change-order surprises come from. Every Lowcountry Paver contractor partner provides a detailed written estimate — request yours here.
30mm for pedestrian areas like pool decks and walkways, 60mm for residential driveways, 80mm for commercial or heavy-vehicle use. If an installer quotes a thickness without asking what the surface needs to carry, that’s worth a follow-up question. Our contractor partners are trained to spec the right product for your project, not just what’s easiest to install.
Ask for two separate answers: what the manufacturer guarantees, and what the installer guarantees on their own labor. Lowcountry Paver backs the structural integrity of our pavers, retaining walls, and pool coping with a Lifetime Guarantee against cracking — get the installer’s workmanship warranty in writing too. See what our warranty covers.
A reputable installer has a portfolio and references ready before you ask for them. Look for tight, consistent joint lines, clean edge restraints, and a visible slope away from the house, not just a flattering photo of a finished patio. Every installer in our contractor network is vetted for craftsmanship before we send a single homeowner their way.
Ask specifically how the surface will be graded and where the water goes. Pooling, erosion, and water intrusion near the foundation are the most common paver complaints, and they almost always trace back to a skipped drainage plan. If your site holds water, ask about permeable pavers, which let rainwater filter through the joints instead of running off — see our permeable options.
